We have God. We’re free, not caged anymore. But sometimes, we let our feelings keep us in the cage. Fear, anger, guilt, anything we place before the freedom gifted to us, before God. In the movie Maleficent, the main character lost something important to her, but it was her own anger that almost took away what was left of her heart. It was her anger that was killing her. Though in the end, Love Prevailed. In the end, Maleficent rose.

Just like Maleficent, we have to be a phoenix. We have to rise above the consuming ashes of our anger, pain, and those that try to ensnare us. Why? Because we have the power to. Because we are free and we have God.
